We are currently seeking a Operating System-UNIX/Linux-Systems Administration Senior Specialist to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN). Linux System Administrator • Hands on experience in Linux System administration (RedHat 6 and 7) including network and SAN configuration, OS upgrades, Patch installation • Hands on experience on layered disk management products - VXVM/VXFS/LVM • Hands on experience in configuration and troubleshooting with high Availability management products HACMP (AIX) & VCS, CVM/CFS (Linux)  • Hands-on experience on Linux Performance monitoring and Tuning. • Knowledge of security, scheduler, backup, performance monitor product like Powerbroker, VERITAS NetBackup, Autosys, ITM, Perform/BMC. • Able to work well with multiple stake holders in migrating / deploying applications to UNIX OS • Setup application environment, assist Application team in verifying application environment, troubleshoot application problems as and when application encounter problem. • Knowledge on AIX and Solaris administration, Linux VMWare VM is preferred • Hands on experience in planning and execution for migrating/relocating servers within and across Data Centers, Hands on/knowledge of server migration tools like plate spin • Ability to design and implement automated test. • Focused on configuration governance on a wide scale environment. • Be proficient in creating readable documentation • Have an understanding of mass storage SAN/NAS solutions • Provide expert support, analysis, and research into exceptionally complex • Willing to work on NAM Shift hours.       Essential qualifications:  • Strong self-management and readiness to exercise own initiative • Red Hat Linux 6/7 at a certifiable level; Hands on experience in build and configuration of Veritas Info scale cluster • Analytical and disciplined approach to problem solving • Ability to remain calm and objective in a high-pressure environment • Excellent communication, team coordination, interpersonal skills and customer care skills are mandatory • Fluent English       Additional qualifications:  • Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues. • Knowledge and understanding of naming services such as Active Directory and LDAP • Knowledge of HPE and Dell hardware (x86_64) and RAID concept • Scripting capabilities - shell/perl • Experience of customer support in a time-critical environment • Experience of working in a heavily controls-focused environment • Experience in the Banking & Financial sector NTT DATA is a $30 billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
