Requisition Number: 64324 Corning Inc (www.corning.com)  the world’s largest maker of smartphone cover glass, will begin manufacturing the product in India by the end of 2024 through its joint venture with Noida-based contract manufacturer Optiemus Infracom  Ltd (https://www.optiemus.com/) , which will be called Bharat Innovation Glass Technologies.  The JV company will manufacture finished front and back cover glass for smartphones and the plant is likely to come up in Tamil Nadu.  The Indian facility will meet the demand for the domestic consumers first and then expand its operations overseas. Function/Dept Purpose Statement : The facilities Operations group provides technical support for the maintenance of the facility such as the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, Equipment Cooling Water (ECW), vacuum systems, compressed air systems and other gases in addition to project support for the overall plant community.  The goal of the organization is to support the facility in the most cost-effective manner, maximize asset effectiveness, and operate safely to ensure no workplace injuries Position Responsibilitie: Ensure job site safety during the project phase and carry safety emphasis over into operations phase. Provide project management for manufacturing capital projects to existing firm. Manage the performance of team members and outside resources to meet the project requirements. Establish project plans (scopes, schedule, cost estimates, procurement/contracting strategy, project acceptance criteria, etc.). Work with business in the preparation and approval of Capital  Requests. Conduct project meetings and document key issues, action items and decisions. For key projects, establish and coordinate activities of a steering committee for the project. Provide periodic project updates to customer and cross-functional management. Oversee all onboard facility systems from installation to commissioning while ensuring compliance with    Complete engineering & drawing reviews to ensure that design team specifications and instructions are carried out and implemented on site. Should have handled Projects and Maintenance in Industries. Facilities technicians gain significant GF experience and multi-level management experience with a reputable, values oriented MNC/Indian company. Facilities technicians acquire ground level knowledge and hands on experience for the steady state processes and equipment they will be supporting.  Minimum Requirements: 5-7 years overall experience working for in Utilities-Section in a manufacturing environment. B.E or 3-year Diploma in ‘Mechanical or Electrical’ / Mechatronics
