Join a high performing team within a highly specialized technology department which focuses on delivery and transformation! _About the Role_ We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BigCommerce Developer with 5+ years of hands-on development experience. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable e-commerce solutions using the BigCommerce platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and project managers, to create high-performing, user-friendly, and visually appealing online stores. _Key Responsibilities_ Design, develop, and optimize BigCommerce websites, ensuring seamless performance and user experience. Customize and extend BigCommerce themes and functionality to meet business requirements. Develop custom BigCommerce apps, integrations, and plugins using APIs and SDKs. Implement responsive and mobile-friendly designs. Integrate third-party tools and systems such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and CRM/ERP solutions. Ensure website security, scalability, and performance optimization. Debug and troubleshoot issues related to BigCommerce sites and integrations. Stay up-to-date with the latest BigCommerce features, trends, and best practices. Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to create engaging UI/UX for e-commerce platforms. Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed. _Qualifications_ **Experience:** Minimum of 5+ years in web development, with at least 3 years focused on BigCommerce. **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in **HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar).** Expertise in **BigCommerce Stencil framework** and custom theme development. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and BigCommerce API integrations. Experience with **Java, PHP, MySQL,** GraphQL and other back-end technologies. Experience with headless commerce architecture/Big Commerce catalyst is a plus. Familiarity with version control tools like Git. Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization. **Soft Skills:** Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions on time. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. _Preferred Qualifications_ BigCommerce Certified Developer credentials. Experience with **SaaS e-commerce platforms or other CMS systems like Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.** Familiaritywith Agile development methodologies.
