Position Info: · Position: Early Childhood Educator · Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent · Wage: $25.91~$28.00/hour (depending on experience) · Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week · Number of Positions: 2 · Work Location: 3120 Tillicum Road, Victoria, BC V9A 6T2 Benefits: · 4% vacation pay · Extended Healthcare and Dental Care Job Duties: · Develop and execute childcare programs to enhance children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. · Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and visits to local points of interest. · Assess children's development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs. · Provide guidance to children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits. · Manage daycare equipment and assist with housekeeping responsibilities. · Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods. · Foster collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers supporting children. · Create and maintain a secure and healthy environment for children. · Oversee and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants. · Discuss children's progress and issues at staff meetings and provide written reports to early childhood educators or supervisors. · Check the supplies for educational programs and order equipment as needed. Job requirements: · Language: English · Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset · Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required · Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and E.C.E.
