Position Info: · Position: Early Childhood Educator · Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent · Wage: $26.00~$28.00/hour (depending on experience) · Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week · Number of Positions: 1 · Work Location: 320 E 43rd Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5W 1T3 Benefits: · 4% vacation pay · Great West Group Coverage · Ei and Pension Contributions Job Duties: · Develop childcare programs to promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children · Plan activities by reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to field trips of interest · Maintain a healthy and safe environment for children · Evaluate the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members · Detect the signs of potential learning or behavioural problems of children, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor · Teach children to eat properly, dress, and appropriate toilet habits · Build a good relationship with employees and community service providers working with children · Supervise and suggest activities of other early childhood educator assistants Job requirements: · Experience: Experience is an asset · Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required · Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E.
