Job Requirements/Details: No. of Positions: 6 (Fulltime/Permanent) Salary: $34.65/hr. for 40 to 50 hours per week. Education: Minimum High School. Credentials: Driver's License BC Class 1 or equivalent. Security and Safety: Valid passport, Driver's validity license check, Drug test. Experience: Previous experience is an asset. On job training will be provided. Language Ability: Read, Write and Speak English Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor Trailer Type of Travel: Long Haul, Canada wide and US destinations Specific Skills: Driver must be able to drive as 2-person team. Documentation Knowledge: Knowledge of Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports Personal Suitability: Team Player and Hardworking Duties to be performed: Driver must also be able to drive truck to transport goods and materials, loading and unloading goods, plan travel schedules and routes, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights brakes and other equipment. Also, perform brake adjustments, monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness and perform preventative maintenance. Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers and customers.
