Business Address: 9029 148 St., Surrey, BC, V3R 3W7 Language of work: English Term of Employment: Full-Time Permanent Position (40-60 hrs/week) Work Location: 9029 148 St., Surrey, BC, V3R 3W7 Job Duties: · Drive and operate truck trailers as a team for long-haul deliveries. · To obtain and hand over documents required to transport goods from and to the person concerned and ensure proper documentation before leaving. · Follow Hours of Service regulations (E-Logs) · Promptly deliver customer freight and update dispatch on ETA's · Plan trip logistics in advance · Record the trip details, fuel consumption, and driven miles to match our system. · Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain logbooks · Perform a thorough pre-trip inspection before leaving the yard · Perform in-route inspection after scheduled intervals to maintain road safety and Ensure cargo is secured properly by safety requirements. · May be able to perform emergency repairs, if needed. · To take all necessary safety precautions in a situation of breakdown of the truck at the highway like emergency lights etc. · Maintain contact with dispatchers, Colleague drivers, and customers via on-board communication device. · Periodically take the vehicle to the designated mechanic for a thorough check-up and promptly report any fault in the vehicle.
