Salary: $20.50/Hourly Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Language: English Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible Minimum Education: None Positions Available: 1 NOC Group: 75101- Material handlers NOC Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Location: 12935 115 Avenue Surrey, British Columbia V3R 2S2 Canada Job Description · Loading and unloading goods from vehicles. · Obtain a copy of production schedule or shipping orders and transport materials or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. · Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility. · Stacking goods in the correct storage bay, following stock control instructions. · Checking to ensure that the loads are secure. · Stacking empty pallets in an area instructed by the inventory control supervisor. · Performing daily equipment checks, for example, lubricating equipment, etc. · Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines. · Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards. · Helping to load and unload the vehicles by hand where necessary. · Performing other warehouse tasks like packing. · Dumping materials into machine hoppers. Requirements: · No specific education requirement. · Experience is an asset; however, on the job training will be provided. · High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment · Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records. · Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner. Physical demands and abilities: · Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. and adjusting body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time. · Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
