General Purpose and Scope of Position : The role of the Associate Marketer is to provide the company with consistent profits by effectively generating sales and purchase contracts for an assigned geographical region, or specific ingredients and to develop a sustainable business with acceptable margins as outlined by division, and to promote growth, manage risk and present opportunities for growth in the designated area. Key Skills and Abilities Include: Able to produce profitable sales in target areas for growthBuild relationships with customers and suppliersPromote company name/reputation in marketplaceCollect market information and gain a comprehensive knowledge about the ingredients marketedManage risk by operating within established guidelinesWork within defined position limits as well as established company policiesWork effectively within a team environmentAbility to develop and communicate a strategy for their area of responsibilityManage key aspects for the execution of the business including Working Capital metrics as outlined by the company, annual budget preparation for the area of responsibility including expense management.Key Personal Attributes Include: Preference of work experience in Feed Sales, with a bachelor's degree in Business/Ag or other related discipline, and/or an appropriate combination of experience and educationCapable of overnight business travel, including occasional travel by airplane.Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with Customers, Suppliers and CoworkersAttention to detail and a strong work ethicCreative thinker who can build a business and generate new ideasMust be able to follow corporate direction and policies promoting excellenceMust be assertive and able to accept rejectionExceptional organizational skillsService orientedQuality drivenPossess integrityProfessionalismKnowledge of industry marketsGeneral understanding of regulatory requirements in each countrySpecific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: Work with the Marketing Director and Senior Marketers to develop a producer and customer base within assigned marketsWork with the marketing director and senior marketers to understand the products for which Wilbur-Ellis would have a competitive advantageMarket feed ingredients to existing customers and other markets as opportunities arise to increase sales opportunitiesAssisting in gaining regulatory approval when needed Compensation and Benefits: The base compensation for this position ranges from $55,900 - $78,310.
