Maizex Seeds is a wholly Canadian-owned business, one of the fastest growing seed companies in Canada. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to build our corn and canola seed business in defined regions of Central Alberta (Red Deer and North), the Peace River District, and Northwestern Saskatchewan. The RoleAs part of the sales team, you will be responsible for building the Maizex brand in your area, which will involve:Developing, managing, and motivating a dedicated dealer network focused on growing the Maizex Seeds corn and canola seed business in their areas.Developing relationships with key corn and canola growers to develop the Maizex presence on their farms.Building zone and dealer business plans and prioritizing resources towards sustainable sales volume growth.Managing product forecasts and overseeing product movement for the region.Working with our product development and marketing teams in building product and agronomy exposure locations and events to be used with farmers and Maizex Seeds dealers.Who We Are Looking ForThe successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and people management skills with the drive to take advantage of a unique opportunity to establish and grow an emerging Canadian seed brand in their area.A candidate with the benefit of an agronomy background, including in corn and canola, to support their Maizex dealer network as they position the right products on the right fields for their customers.Someone with the ability to analyze sales and market statistics to make recommendations on sales tactics for the territory.A person who is not afraid to challenge the status quo in their approach to building a dealer and customer network.A candidate with a degree or diploma in business, agronomy, or related fields, with 3 – 5 years of experience is preferred.Maizex offers a competitive salary, benefits, and incentive package program. If this sounds like the right opportunity for your career, apply in confidence to Stephen Denys by clicking on APPLY TO THIS POSITION.
