Position SummaryReporting to the executive director, the strategic partnerships manager provides leadership in the areas of member management, industry relations, stakeholder engagement, strategic partnerships and corporate governance. This exciting position will lead AAC’s industry facing initiatives, increasing our engagement with the industry, seeking out opportunities for collaboration, and building the future of AAC. Job ResponsibilitiesMember ManagementManage membership relations including responding to new member requests, maintaining accurate membership records, coordinating the annual meeting, and assisting with recruitment and the election of the board of directorsRegularly liaise with members, including attending member events, using member surveys to gather member insights, and identifying opportunities to increase members benefitsDevelop and implement a member recruitment strategy which will increase AAC’s membership, ensuring full representation of the Ontario agriculture and food industry Industry RelationsDevelop and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including member organizations, clients, federal departments and provincial ministries, other funding agencies, and other possible new partnersIncrease AAC’s industry presence in the agriculture and food industry, including identifying industry events and coordinating staff and board participationAct as an advocate for the AAC and AAC funding programs to raise the profile of the organization and contribute to new business developmentSupport the AAC 2050 Committee, including execution of the 2050 Committee Strategic Framework and Engagement StrategyDevelop a member/sector engagement strategy which will enable AAC to actively engage with the sector and strategically target and develop new partnerships and collaborationsLead the program consultation project in collaboration with the program manager to improve program design and delivery in OntarioAssist with the development of an AAC business plan to address the longer term diversification of AAC’s programming and other revenue generating opportunities Corporate GovernanceSupport corporate governance including board and committee orientation and training (incl. training manual), bylaws, director position descriptions, director code of conduct, director conflict of interest, scheduling meetings and ensuring accurate minutes of board and committee (where appropriate) meetingsSupport the executive director in the execution of the AAC strategic plan, including special projects  Interested in joining our Team?
