Retail Store Supervisor Kol Kid Job details: Location: Toronto, ON Salary: $34.07 hourly for 30 hours per week 1 Vacancy Employment groups: Youth, Persons with disabilities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time Start date: As soon as possible Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend Qualification: - Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required; - Completion of secondary (high) school is required; - 2 years to less than 3 years of previous retail sales experience as a retail salesperson or sales clerk, cashier is required. Job duties: - Recruit, select, hire and on-board the best talent; - Train or arrange for training of staff, and assign staff to duties; - Recognize and reward extraordinary performance, and give feedback and develop performance improvement plans for underperforming employees; - Order and sell merchandise; - Authorize payments by cheque and return of merchandise; - Establish work schedules and schedule sales staff; - Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness; - Supervise and co-ordinate activities of sales staff and cashiers; - Train staff in job duties, sanitation, safety procedures and product knowledge; - Organize and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for sales staff and cashiers; - Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages when needed; - Monitor and address customer feedback, working with staff to resolve issue where necessary; - Open and close the cash register, and balance cash and record sales; - Establish and facilitate monthly reporting on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters; - Build purchase orders and import product codes into the POS database; - Create product profiles online with all related imagery and product descriptions; - Manage web order fulfillment; - Maintain webstore front page and product collections, and create sales events online and in store; - Manage and schedule social media posts.
