AGTA Home Health Care and Nursing Inc. have an immediate opening for experienced 20 Personal Support Worker- Home Support (NOC: 44101) at our location in Concord, ON. As a Personal Support Worker - Home Support (NOC: 44101), you will perform some or all of the following duties: Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living such as standing, moving from one location to another, walking outdoors, dressing, bathing, sponge bathing, toileting, skincare, light meal preparation, feeding etc) in personal residences or facilities. Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding clients Provides medication assistance as per the written guidelines. Effectively communicates with clients to understand the client's preferences and degree of participation in completing personal care and other activities of daily living Actively participates on the care team, observing any changes/concerns in the client's status and reporting any concerns regarding the health or safety of clients to their Program Leader. Collects and maintains client information. Maintaining and enhancing our clients' independence, providing safety and comfort and promoting physical well-being. May perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications and collecting specimens under the general direction of supervisor or nurse Provide care and companionship for individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence or family disruption. Treat patients with compassion and respect Keep all patient information confidential. May perform general household duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds for the client. Qualifications: Completion of secondary school is required. Experience in relevant field is an asset. Completion of a training program in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities, convalescent care or in a related field may be required. First aid certification may be required. Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (30-40 hours/week, Work locations may vary ,Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.)
