Role: North America Payroll Director Type: Permanent Location: Toronto Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 CAD package Our client: We are partnering a cutting-edge Film and Television business responsible for some of the most recognisable Hollywood productions and renowned Television series. Overview: We have been engaged to find a Payroll Director based in Toronto to manage the Payroll team across Canada and the USA. This role reports directly to the Director of Group Finance. The Payroll Director is a key role responsible for providing, leadership and direction to the payroll team to ensure the payroll process runs smoothly across multiple systems and geographies. Responsibilities: Directly manage a team of 7 Payroll Co-ordinators and Analysts to facilitate the complex payroll across the USA and Canada. Work alongside the Payroll Systems Manager to improve efficiencies in the systems and processes. Support with complex manual payroll calculations due to requirements in different regions, states, businesses and countries. Ensure time and attendance processes are effective and data actioned accurately. Co-ordinate with other regional Payroll leads and Finance where required. Work across multiple systems. Experience, skills and qualifications: 10 years working in a senior payroll position. Experience facilitating the payroll across large geographical areas. Demonstrated ability to understand complex payroll variances and complete manual calculations accordingly. Understanding of various payroll requirements across Canadian Provinces and US States beneficial. Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
