Job Summary: Based in Toronto, the Operations Manager will report to the Vice President of Operations and be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and controlling activities in a manner that ensures the highest possible levels of productivity, quality, on time delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability while maintaining a positive and safe work environment. Duties: · Collaborating with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's goals and objectives · Driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance · Defining and monitoring performance measurement (KPI) and taking actions to ensure operational and strategic goals are in alignment · Overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow across all departments · Training staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies · Implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes · Working closely with the Vice President of Operations, the Senior Engineering Manager, and the finance team to develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial stability and growth · Requisitioning materials and supplies · Identifying cost-saving opportunities and revenue-generating strategies · Building and leading a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability · Resolving work problems and recommending work measures to improve productivity and product quality · Providing mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional development · Establishing methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments · Identifying and mitigating operational risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards · Developing and implementing contingency plans to address potential changes · Recommending personnel actions such as hirings and promotions · Preparing production and other reports · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
