We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and manage our transportation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of service and compliance. Key Responsibilities: · Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize delivery routes, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance transportation operations. · Analyze and design transportation routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delays. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize routing and scheduling. · Select and negotiate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to secure favorable rates and services. Monitor carrier performance and address any issues that arise. · Oversee the maintenance and management of the company's transportation fleet, including vehicle scheduling, repairs, and compliance with safety regulations. Coordinate with fleet management teams to ensure vehicle availability and reliability. · Monitor and control transportation budgets, analyze costs, and implement cost-saving measures. Prepare and present financial reports related to transportation expenses. · Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols and practices for vehicle operation and cargo handling. · Lead, train, and support the transportation team to achieve departmental goals. Foster a collaborative environment and provide guidance on transportation best practices. · Address and resolve transportation-related customer inquiries or complaints. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to meet or exceed customer expectations. · Continuously evaluate and improve transportation processes and systems. Utilize data and performance metrics to drive improvements and achieve operational excellence.
