Job Duties · Provide assistance to mechanics who are assembling and installing refrigeration or air - conditioning components, such as motors, controls, gauges, valve, circulation pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressor using hand and power tools. · Hold stakes during surveying activities · Move tools, equipment and other materials. · Diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions · Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports. · Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements · Perform miscellaneous labouring activities to help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed · Provide assistance to mechanics performing maintenance, repair, and other operations of existing residential equipment · Perform general and specific equipment inspections · Clean machines and immediate work areas Job Requirements · No formal education requirements. Completion of secondary school is an asset. · Some experience in same trade is an asset, no experience necessary. On the job training will be provided. · Class 5 valid driver's license is an asset, but not mandatory · Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
