Food Service Supervisor Best View Dining Ltd Job Details: Location: Toronto, ON Salary: $34.07 hourly for 30 hours per week 1 Vacancy Employment groups: Youth, Persons with disabilities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-Time Start date: As soon as possible Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend Qualifications: - Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required; - Completion of secondary (high) school is required; - 2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience in a restaurant is required; - Knowledge of Japanese BBQ is an asset. Job duties: - Supervise and co-ordinate activities of kitchen staff and servers; - Train kitchen staff and servers in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures; - Ensure food service and quality control is always properly implemented according to the service and quality standards of Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ; - Establish work schedules, and methods and plans to meet the schedules for kitchen staff and servers; - Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation; - Ensure food orders are properly handled by servers and kitchen staff; - Address customers' complaints or concerns; - Prepare and submit sales reports to management on a regular basis; - Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage; - Prepare budget and cost estimates; - Hire food service staff; - Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and ensure a healthy level of stock is always maintained.
