Position: Drafting Technologist # of Positions: 1 Duration: Full Time Location: 160 Commander Blvd, Scarborough, ON M1S 3C8 Salary: $43.26 per hour-The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions. Other benefits: Optional group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eyecare coverage on cost sharing basis Weekly hours: 32-40; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week Vacation: 4% of the gross salary Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities · Create detailed technical drawings and schematics based on specifications and requirements. · Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop and modify drawings. · Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards and company guidelines. · Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements and constraints. · Assist in the design process by providing technical insights and suggestions. · Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all drafted components. · Develop and update specifications, standards, and guidelines for drafting projects. · Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members. · Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards. · Participate in quality control processes to ensure the precision of metal components. · Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of drafting tasks. · Track progress of drafting projects and report any issues or delays. · Provide detailed drawings and specifications to the manufacturing team. · Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. · Ensure that drawings are aligned with the capabilities and constraints of manufacturing equipment. · Continuously improve drafting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
