Job Responsibilities · Inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials for quality, ensuring compliance with specifications. · Interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution of concrete finishing tasks. · Coordinate the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces to meet grade requirements. · Correct imperfections by filling voids and smoothing freshly poured concrete surfaces. · Utilize power vibrating equipment to compact concrete efficiently. · Achieve precise surface levels according to specified grades and depths using straight edges or floating. · Apply various hand and power tools to achieve desired finishes on concrete surfaces. · Ensure the security of fixtures such as anchor bolts, steel plates, and door sills in freshly poured concrete. · Apply appropriate hardening and sealing compounds to enhance surface durability and longevity. · Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and promote a safe work environment. · Implement waterproofing and damp-proofing measures to protect concrete surfaces. · Perform maintenance tasks including repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures such as floors, walls, and roads. · Collaborate with construction team members to coordinate workflow and ensure timely project completion. · Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote productivity and safety. · Perform other duties as required. Job Requirements · Completion of Secondary School. · Completion of an apprenticeship program or at 2-3 years of work experience. · Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to concrete work. · Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions. · Attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in concrete finishing tasks. · Flexibility to work in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
