JOB TITLE: Child caregiver - Private Home JOB LOCATION: 451 The West Mall suite Unit 608Etobicoke, ON, M9C 1G1 VACANCY: 1 JOB TYPE: Regular TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible SALARY: $20.00 per Hour HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week WORK SETTING: In-home/Employer's home JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding children. · Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children and may undertake additional household tasks. · Provide supervision and care for children in the employer's residence in absence of parents. · Follow the parent's instructions to oversee children's daily routines, including meals and rest periods along with maintaining a safe and nurturing environment within the home. · Keep records of daily activities and maintain health information for each child, as required. · Attend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development. · Teach children about personal hygiene practices and administer discipline to children in accordance with the parents' specified methods. · Offer age-appropriate educational guidance through organized activities, such as games, crafts, reading, and outings. PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: · Secondary School graduation required. · Experience in similar position would be an asset. · Fluent in English and excellent verbal communication skills and high level of confidentiality, integrity, ethics, and professionalism. · Overtime maybe required sometimes, and position could be physically demanding. · Good time management skills, client focus, flexibility, organized, reliable and excellent interpersonal skills. · Knowing other languages would be an asset.
