Hattendo Downtown Inc., operating as Hattendo Cafe at 13 Baldwin Street, Toronto Ontario, is looking for an Area Operations Manager for a salary of; $64.10 per hour based on 30 hours per week. Job Duties · Ensure that the Bakery Department is ready for business, stocked and maintained throughout the day · Develop departmental business plans in order to meet or exceed sales and gross profit goals · Protect company assets: maintain and control inventories · Monitor gross profit, investigate and address variances and communicate to Category Manager · Oversee the correct cost of all invoices and communicate variances to Category Manager · Complete Business Segment inventories as required · Complete regular competitor price checks to protect competitive position · Provide regular input to Procurement and Marketing Team on sales trends and new or requested items · Monitor inventory levels and shrink reduction; rotate stock to guarantee freshness · Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitor's operations on sales · Develop and implement marketing strategies · Recruit, hire and supervise staff · Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies · Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
