Position Info: · Position: Infants' Daycare Worker · Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent · Wage: $24.00~$26.00/hour (depending on experience) · Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week · Number of Positions: 2 · Work Location: 5229 Sooke Road, Sooke, BC V9Z 1J6 Benefits: · 4% vacation pay · Extended Healthcare (after 3 months of employment) Job Duties: · Assess the children's development in order to prepare a learning plan · Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children · Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts · Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children · Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children · Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers · Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest · Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits · Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor Job requirements: · Experience: Experience is an asset · Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required · Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E.
