Millhouse Resthome is actively looking to hire 1 Assistant Manager for a Permanent, Full-Time Position to work at our location located at 14022 Thirdline, Acton, Ontario L7J 2L8 or 2L8 and/or our location located 34 Mill Street West, Acton, Ontario, L7J 1G4.

Millhouse Resthome is a small community of individuals and families in Halton Hills and Acton, Ontario who have chosen to take shelter under the same roof - Our Home. We respect each other and help each other cope with the many stresses of daily life. There is room and board provided for eligible individuals and families. Our staff also provides meals and personal assistance as needed.

Wage & Hours: $37.74 per hour, minimum 30 - 40 hours per week plus overtime, when necessary, two days off per week (to be determined). Shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours.
Job Duties:
· Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
· Recruit and hire staff
· Supervise staff
· Conduct performance reviews
· Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies
· Conduct training sessions
· Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities
· Perform front desk duties
· Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
· Prepare marketing plans
· Implement marketing activities
· Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities
· Enforce policies and procedures
· Address customers' complaints or concerns
· Assist clients/guests with special needs
· Develop and implement business plans
· Establish work schedules
· Manage events
· Organize and maintain inventory
Skills, Education & Credentials Required:
· 1 year experience in a supervisory or managerial position is considered an asset
· Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience required.
· A university degree or college diploma in hotel management or other related discipline is required.
· Criminal Record Check

Benefits: Holiday pay, Vacation pay at 4%, 5 Paid Sick days per year
