Job Responsibilities · Inspect all motor functions in operation and conduct road tests to determine the performance of the vehicle. · Identify faults in automobile systems and components using computerized diagnostic tools. · Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of essential automotive systems. · Test systems after repairs to ensure they meet the manufacturer's specifications and performance standards. · Execute scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. · Use hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment proficiently. · Discuss work requirements and specific customer concerns based on work orders. · Inform customers about the work performed, assess the general condition of the vehicle, and advise on future repair requirements. · Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to industry safety standards and regulations. · Update service records and document important information following each service. · Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability of necessary components for scheduled services. Job Requirements · High school plus 2-3 years of experience or completion of a four-year apprenticeship program. · Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems and components. · Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive repair tools and equipment. · Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. · Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members. · Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on automotive technology and repair techniques.
