Fishing Vessel Crewmen/Women (NOC 84121) Takeda Trading Ltd. is the largest wholesale Dungeness crab supplier in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada. Family owned and operated; Takeda specializes in Dungeness crabs harvested from Hecate Strait on the North Pacific Coast of Canada. Takeda's total annual production ranges from 3,000,000 to 4,000,000 lbs, including live, cooked and frozen Dungeness crab products. Other products include Red King crab, shrimp and spot prawns. The company is looking for three (3) Fishing Vessel Crewmen/Women on a full-time seasonal 9 months 40 hours per week. Job Duties: · Prepare nets, traps, and other fishing tackle, and operate fishing gear and traps to catch crab. · Sort, return protected species to the water, clean and pack crabs in ice and stow catch in hold · Repair nets, splice ropes, traps and maintain fishing gear and other deck equipment · Clean deck surfaces and crab tank · Handle anchors and mooring lines during docking and undocking procedures · May steer vessels to and from fishing areas · May prepare and cook meals for crew members.
