We are seeking a Senior Policy & Prevention Specialist within our Professional Standards and Behaviours Department to lead the development, design, and delivery of key policy and research projects contributing to the prevention of unlawful and harmful workplace behaviours, and embedding a safe, fair and inclusive workplace at Ambulance Victoria  This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model.  Reporting to the Senior Manager Policy & Research, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to: Lead the development of best practice policy and prevention initiatives that meet departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline, quality and budget parameters Manage complex policy and research projects to monitor, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of service delivery and inform policy development Coach, mentor and support staff in the Professional Standards and Behaviours team by providing leadership and guidance on workplace equality and integrity policy development Drive the implementation of Professional Standards Prevention Focus Plan including coordination of communication, engagement and events, developing documentation including guidance and training materials To be considered for this position you will possess a public policy, public administration, law, or other relevant tertiary qualification or relevant industry certification (or progress toward) with high level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience. Other requirements include: Subject matter expertise in workplace equality (including bullying, harassment, sexual harassment and discrimination), integrity and victimisation, including knowledge of the drivers of unlawful and harmful workplace behaviours Extensive experience preparing policy documentation and providing policy advice within a large organisation, government department or public sector organisation (within the emergency services or health sector is desirable) Employment law background (desirable) Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to enable policy design and development including the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action for achieving long-range organisational goals Excellent stakeholder and partnership development skills and experience of effectively working with and influencing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders Working at Ambulance Victoria As a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
