Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are looking for a Production Engineer to join our team supporting the cutting edge MQ-28 Ghost Bat program. In this role you will support the establishment and ongoing execution of the future full rate MQ28 production facility. We are looking for someone who will embrace our company's behaviours and is willing to innovate. This role is based at Wellcamp Airport, Toowoomba. As a Production Engineer within BDA, you will Support transitioning the composites fabrication and aircraft assembly capability from our Melbourne facility to the new Toowoomba Wellcamp facility; Refining the production system design for the composite fabrication and aircraft assembly; Lead and implement manufacturing plans and related work instructions. Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implement Lean principles and technologies. Provide technical oversight of our production and production process qualification activities across the business. Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies. Conduct investigations on manufacturing processes to identify root cause of defects, propose and lead corrective action projects. Provide guidance on the build and compliance reporting to ensure the production products conform to the product design. Ensure compliance to safety, regulatory and engineering requirements. To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment and have: Tertiary degree with a minimum of 3 -5 years' experience in relevant technical disciplines Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering; specialising in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering will be highly regarded. Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices is highly desirable. Effective communication skills with different stakeholders across the business. Works well with others and encourages team building. Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
