**DESCRIPTION** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Deliver a first-class service to our customers for mining. + Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field, this will be on an on 7/7 roster. + Diagnose and repair HHP Cummins mining engines + Inspect and replace components as required + Engine rebuilding and reconditioning + Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety&Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Service Supervisor + Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role, you will need the following:** + Australian recognised Trade certificate (heavy Vehicle) + Apprentice trained engine technician (preferred) + Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products + Ideally possess engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge + Hitachi, Komatsu&Liebherr experience highly desirable + Solid diagnostic capabilities with the help of systems on computers **QUALIFICATIONS** + This role has a 7on / 7off roster, 12 hours per shift. + You will need a locally valid driving permit + You will need intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with High Horsepower engine products + Reporting to the Cummins Toowoomba Manager **Compensation and Benefits** Competitive hourly rate paid as a permanent salary. $5K sign on bonus.
