Location – Sydney
Salary – Range $123,444~$144,386 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The team
The Chief Risk Office manages enterprise risk, business resilience, protective security, compliance management, and integrity across ASIC.
The Central Compliance Team oversees ASIC's Compliance Management Framework (CMF), breach reporting through the Compliance Incident Management System (CIMS), and the Enterprise Policy Framework (EPF). They ensure ASIC has the right policies and procedures to meet its obligations and provide expert compliance advice to the Executive Committee, Commission, and Audit and Risk Committee.
As a Compliance Specialist, you will:
Lead the charge in administering, overseeing, and enhancing ASIC's Compliance Management Framework (CMF) and Enterprise Policy Framework (EPF).
Provide the Commission and Executive Committee advisory support to adopt a proactive, risk-based approach to compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the impact of statutory and regulatory obligations and develop strategic implementation plans.
Monitor and test new and revised policies, processes, and controls.
Coordinate annual compliance plan evaluations and attestations with the executive leadership group.
Influence the Executive Group, Committees, and Commission with expert oversight and advice on compliance and enterprise policy matters.
The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced experience in second line compliance or risk management, with the ability to enhance compliance frameworks and programs. With a collaborative approach and strong written and verbal communication skills, you will be comfortable working with and influencing a broad range of stakeholders. You will also demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Other key skills and experience required include:
Working with stakeholders to enhance compliance and policy design.
Analysing and recommending changes to internal and external policies.
Control identification, design advice, and assurance.
Strong verbal and written communication, including executive and Board reporting.
