We highly value individuals with sharp, analytical minds who are not afraid to challenge the status quo.   Actively contribute to regulatory work across multiple areas of the financial services, credit and corporate sectors Multiple permanent positions and all locations considered Enjoy hybrid working options (50/50) Salary range $94,198 - $108,749 commensurate with experience +15.4% super   ASIC's Regulation and Supervision (R&S) group is responsible for the regulation and supervision of industry sectors (excluding Markets) to promote good market integrity and consumer outcomes. It undertakes proactive surveillance, supervision and monitoring of sector and cross-sector issues as well as considering applications for relief from the law. In addition, the group leads regulatory reform and implementation across all sectors (excluding Markets) and licensing across all sectors. Depending on your skills and experience positions are available in the following teams: Companies, Registered Liquidators and Small Business Credit, Banking & General Insurance Financial Advisers and Investment Management Regulatory Reform & Implementation Strategic Surveillance & Data Superannuation & Life Insurance Sustainability, Financial Reporting & Audit   As a Regulatory Analyst/Lawyer, your role is to work as part of a team to undertake a range of regulatory and supervisory activities to achieve ASIC's regulatory objectives. Depending on the team you are placed in, this may include activities such as conducting risk-based surveillances and thematic reviews, engaging with entities that ASIC regulates to achieve regulatory outcomes, undertaking assessments of applications for relief, and/or contributing to regulatory policy and law reform projects.   To be successful in this role, you will ideally have regulatory or sector-related knowledge, with experience gained in a corporate, consulting, government or academic environment.  You will have the demonstrated ability to think strategically, assess complex information and make sound judgements. Your analytical skills should make you adept at working with data, legislation, and policy.
