Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years. Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration and test of new capabilities within the MQ-28 Ghost Bat. Based in Melbourne or Brisbane, the successful candidate will work in Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team which is responsible for providing the technical oversight and leadership for the development of the MQ-28 system. As an experienced Senior Systems Engineer you will: Plan and lead the development of Requirements for the MQ-28 System (using DOORS) Trade studies and design solutions to meet the capability objectives and requirements of the MQ-28 System. Technical / engineering documentation (Specifications, Design Documents, Analysis Reports etc) Plan and lead the conduct of test activities from the development of test procedures and provide support to the conduct of to ground and flight tests. Collaborate with the existing team, including internal and external stakeholders To be considered for the role you will have: Minimum of 8 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects (essential) Hold Tertiary qualifications in either Aerospace, Avionics, or Mechatronics, that satisfies the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent technical experience in a Systems Engineering discipline (essential) Demonstrated experience in systems and software development lifecycle (essential). A current or able to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (essential). Experience in System Safety (desirable) Experience in EMI/EMC design and testing (desirable) Experience with aircraft avionics and UAV systems (desirable). Experience using DOORS and Cameo (desirable) Familiarity with engineering change processes (desirable) Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (highly regarded) Experience with Autonomous Systems projects (highly regarded) Experience with aerospace and / or Defence projects (highly regarded.)
