Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.
Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.
Job Summary:
As Document Management Lead, you will lead a document, records, and information management (DRIM) team to analyse, recommend, map, and implement work processes through to project completion.
You will implement, support and troubleshoot the project ECMS, Aconex, developing metrics, prepare progress reports, and assist with training, assessments, and improvements.
Your leadership will guide the team to execute successful document and records management services to support the project team.
Major Responsibilities:
Leads a small document, records & information management (DRIM) team and implement information and documentation work processes and data flows through to full customer turnover.
Works with Project teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure procedures and work processes are delivering the level of information required.
Leads the training, implementation, assessments and improvements associated with Document Management in an Aconex environment.
Develops metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and prepares monthly progress reports for Management teams.
Establishes procedures and work instructions for document development, distribution and retention. Ongoing implementation, development and improvement of workflow processes.
Creates quality monitoring methods and processes to monitor data entry accuracy.
Other responsibilities as designated.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Qualification in a STEM-related field, and/or specialized courses in document management, Engineering or related fields and 5-8 years of relevant experience, and/or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency and experience in project document management, including procedural work, customer interfaces and records management.
Experience in the training and supervision of personnel
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong blend of leadership, stakeholder management, analytical and technical skills.
Good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of budgeting and cost management
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of Bechtel or EPC industry and regulatory standards for record keeping
Working knowledge of computer programs for records tracking, archival, retention, and storage
Familiarity with quality assurance programs and DRIM requirements.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
